It's My Birthday! Reflections on 52 years.
I've always been one to celebrate my birthday. I'm so very grateful to be here on the planet, enjoying this wild ride called life. Yes, the journey certainly has had it's ups and downs, but the ever-unfolding lessons have been rich with learning. Self-discovery is the only thing you get to take with you when you leave, so it's truly the best investment of your time and energy!
So now it's time for me to evolve yet again! Today I'm officially launching my latest version of my website, the proverbial island on the internet which expresses my work in the world. And that work is all about reinventing the way we wish so we can build the life we want and the WORLD WE WANT TO LIVE IN.

Join an Upcoming Wish Circle: Crafting Dreams & Community Together

Wishbeads began with a simple idea: a kit for making paper beads. You'd visualize a moment where you're already living your wish (as if it's come true!), write them down on paper, roll that paper into beads, and seal them with glue. Inside those beads? Your own handwritten wishes. When I first started, I organized something called Wish Circles. We'd come together, go through a bit of visualizat...

Lesson 1: How Do You Discover What You Want?
Просмотров 33211 месяцев назад
Today, I want to ask you a question: what is it that you want? That one thing that, if you knew you could make it come true, would feel so good. I encourage you to eliminate any thoughts of reality or what's possible, and just allow yourself to imagine. If this feels daunting, that's okay. Start with something small, like what you want to eat for dinner. Imagine being in a restaurant and lookin...

I understand the content but the tone is quite harsh. People who over share often feel quite bad when they realize they have done it but don’t realize that they are over sharing at the time. Autistics and those with adhd have difficulties reading social cues, it’s not something they do on purpose or that they can easily or at all stop just like that. If I were an over sharer, this video would make me feel really guilty while it would not help me really prevent it.

As a brit the dining table rules (tables of eight people upwards) are generally that you give your attention to and converse with the lady on your left upon being seated. After dessert the conversation may become more general but until then there is no talking across the table. The old adage of "religion and politics are poor condiments" is still observed. People become boring or bored if such subjects are introduced at a dinner table. As a fairly retiring sort of person my best opening gambit is to ask general questions about my dinner partner. People are always at home talking about themselves and it makes them feel relaxed. Also it prompts return questions and soon one discovers common ground and you have a nice game of conversational ping pong going. There is also to be considered that the host or hostess has (hopefully) put thought into who is seated next to whom so every effort should be made to contribute. Of course disasters occur but that is usually due to bad planning.

I don't know. I follow this dude on yt and he is so arrogant and boastful. I recognise it as insecurity, but I feel I need to call it out. How would he become aware of it if everybody is scared to point out the elephant in the room? Is it truely loving to keep silent and just unfollow him or is it more loving to tell him how he comes across so he can introspect? I chose for the latter today.

As human beings, we are endowed with individual talents and abilities that can be honed through practice and learning. While you may be a prodigy in drawing, your friend or coworker may be a genius in Mathematics. No-one has it all. Interestingly, we could learn and sharpen certain skills we admire about a particular individual, which we never seemed to possess at first. It's all a matter of showing a genuine quest for knowledge, asking good questions and making the time to study. However, if you are unsuccessful in acquiring that skill through studying or emulation, the least you can do is to admire the owner of that talent while striving on improving yourself -- identifying your own talent and working hard to excel it. Why must you spend sleepless nights brooding over why you were not created like somebody else? When we are dissatisfied with ourselves, we tend to compare ourselves with certain individuals who remind us of our shortcomings. Strangely, the admiration we had for such individuals metamorphose into mixed feelings of friendliness and resentment, which is as corrupt as the Devil himself. As we harbour bitter envy towards a neighbour or friend because an aspect of their personality reminds us of our inadequacies, we unkowingly invite darkness into our souls. Of course, you may be a professing christian, but what envy does to you is turn you into a vessel for afflicting the brethren. Do not willfully become an instrument of pain, for a heavy retribution awaits anyone who chooses to be deliberately harmful. This book sheds light on the nature and effects of envy -- and how to repent from such malice! www.amazon.com/dp/B09RKF7SR2/ Without using the link given above, you could also search Amazon using the author's name: ' Yaw Adu Akowuah'.
